Accountants are involved in the design and implementaion of accounting systems. They prepare and analyze financial reports for businesses, governments and other organizations and ensure that they conform to generally accepted accounting principles. Business people use the accounting data to communicate about a firm's activities and to plan for the future.
The three main fields in which accountants are employed are: public accounting , private accounting and government.
