import/export via ODBC

Dear S-plus users;

Has anyone of you experience with import and export of data in
splus 4.0 via ODBC (operating system: Windows NT 4.0; PC:Pentium 133
64MB)? Especially the export of data from splus via ODBC to a
database (e.g. MS Access 7.0) causes a lot of troubles
- usually splus crashes. It would be very helpful for me if someone
has good ideas to avoid these problems.
